I recently returned from a dream trip to visit Maui, Hawaii! To say that this trip was much-needed would be an understatement. I had just graduated from nursing school, and I was making some major changes in my life. Getting away from snowy Utah to experience such a beautiful island was just what I needed to recharge and get in a good headspace for the new year.

I met Zandra & Nic last January during an in-home couples session that I photographed for them. It just so happened that they were flying home on the same day that I was arriving in Hawaii. We were able to meet up for a gorgeous anniversary session right on the ocean.

We met at Slaughterhouse Beach (Mokule’ia Beach) in North Maui near Lahaina. It is the coolest place ever where the locals go when they want to spend some time at the beach. There was a beautiful, hidden rainforest surrounded by insanely beautiful cliffs like the kind you’d see in Ireland! We had a great time together on the beach. Nic was hilarious! He made the session so fun by taking every pose to the next level, which always made Zandra and I laugh. We went up on top of the cliffs for an amazing view right at sunset. Looking down, we could see sea turtles swimming in the ocean!

Since I know some of the ladies may want to know, Zandra got her cute dress at a thrift store during their layover in Portland on their way to Maui. These two have amazing style!
