Today’s blog post features the Little Sahara Sand Dunes, 60,000 acres of sand dunes located in Juab County. A gorgeous Utah photo location for any occasion.
Hunter and Ashlee met through a mutual friend in Provo country swing dancing. Their swing dance moves were amazing and we definitely incorporated some of them into their photos. The sand dunes are commonly windy and sometimes too bright, but luck was in our favor. We had the PERFECT cloud coverage, the sun peeking out and in as needed. Ashlee and Hunter chose outfits that went together so perfectly. These two were so fun to work with and have the cutest proposal story.
Ashlee and Hunter went with a big group of friends down to her cabin, for a general conference weekend (the same place they took their first vacation together). On Sunday afternoon they drove to the frozen-over Fish Lake and danced. On one of the spins he spun Ashlee around and she turned around to find him on his knee with a ring. Hunter had the words “wanna dance” engraved into her ring. That was the first thing she ever said to him and how they ask each other to dance. Such a romantic proposal!
They love dancing, going on adventures, cooking, and running errands together. I’m so excited to photograph their wedding in July. I can’t wait to see them dancing at their reception. Thanks for dancing through the sand dunes with me and letting me capture a little part of your love story.
“It’s like having a built in best friend! I love that we can be candid and just have fun being silly.” – Ashlee
