I'm Tasha - your wedding photographer

I considered myself extremely spoiled during Emily & Isaac’s stunning fall bride and groom portrait session. These photos were taken at the Hale family cabin, which is nestled in the mountains of Big Cottonwood Canyon. After considering a hike up a small mountain in her wedding dress, Emily and I settled on the cabin and its grounds for our location. We had a private meadow and the surrounding forest all to ourselves, just bursting with fall leaves and the most gorgeous colors! It really doesn’t get much better than that.

Emily & Isaac have been in school together since they were children. Their very first date ever was with each other in the ninth grade. The two dated a little in high school as well, but both went on to serve missions for the LDS church after graduation. Shortly after their return, Emily & Isaac were reunited. The story of how they ended up back together changes depending on which one of them you ask. However, after a year of dating again, they decided that life was just better together.

I had the pleasure of shooting engagement photos for Isaac’s older sister, Denali, a few months ago. To say that session was an adventure would be an understatement! We went canoeing in the dead of winter. So when Emily told me she knew of a location at the end of a steep half-mile hike straight up a mountain, I knew she would fit in perfectly with the Hale family.

Walking down to the meadow with Isaac for their First Look, he kept telling me how excited he was to see Emily. “I never thought I would be so excited and nervous to see her in a wedding dress!” he said. Isaac’s reaction when he finally saw his bride-to-be dressed in white was so incredibly sweet and heartfelt! He just wanted to hug her and hold her close and never let go. Emily & Isaac will be getting married today at the Salt Lake Temple. I hope their day is filled with joy, and I wish them an eternity of happiness and marital bliss!
