I'm Tasha - your wedding photographer

Today’s wedding couple is from Washington D.C. but they got married in San Diego! I had the best time on this trip with one of my past brides, Jackie. This bride and groom were the sweetest people! I was so impressed by how kind their family and friends were both while waiting for the ceremony to finish and during group photos.

Lisha & Scott met while playing volleyball back in their ward in Washington D.C. When it came time for the two of them to decide which temple they wanted to be married in, the D.C. Temple was the obvious choice. Unfortunately, like its closest neighbor in Richmond, Virginia, the D.C. Temple is closed for renovation. The couple turned their eyes to California because they both have family there. They finally landed on sunny San Diego.

A few days before the wedding, Lisha & Scott found out that the San Diego Temple was going to have some construction going on as well! Luckily it was just on one side and didn’t disrupt what turned out to be a beautiful day for a wedding.

The bride and groom shared a sweet First Look before the ceremony followed by bride and groom portraits around the temple. Lisha & Scott have the cutest little nieces and nephews who were SO excited for their temple exit! They were all crowded around me as the bride and groom came out, pretending to take pictures of the happy couple, too. Lisha & Scott’s families were full of jokes during family pictures. They were so much fun to be around!

In lieu of a big reception, the bride and groom took their closest friends and family members to P.F. Chang’s for dinner after the wedding. That is the way to go, if you ask me! I can’t think of a better way to celebrate with the ones you love most.

Congratulations, Lisha & Scott! I loved being a part of your big day. I hope you had a great time on your honeymoon in Maui!
