It’s no secret that summer is one of the busiest times for Utah’s thriving wedding business! And we love getting to photograph so many of these gorgeous summer weddings. Here’s a beautiful wedding at the Oquirrh Mountain Temple!
First of all, you’ve got to read all about Nathan and Candide Woodard’s love story. Candide told us, “The thing that makes our backstory so magical is that Nate came into my life after a really hard time. Within one week, I lost my grandpa, my dog to cancer, and my best friend who I’d loved for seven years. Life felt hopeless.” The following week, Candide started working at the BYU Creamery and Nate was her supervisor. They hit if off instantly, becoming good friends and great ski buddies.
Right before winter break, Candide asked Nate to be her date for a friend’s wedding. In her own words, “It was the best date of my life and I didn’t want it to end.” After winter break, Candide messaged her coworkers to see if anyone wanted to visit a National Park with her. Nate jumped at the chance and they ended up spending 15 hours together visiting Zion and Bryce National Parks on New Year’s Eve! From that point on, they spent all of their time together, and finally admitted their feelings.
Nathan and Candide Woodard had their wedding in the Oquirrh Mountain Temple on June 19th. While not many brides schedule their temple sealing for 8:30 am, everyone was actually grateful Candide did because the day was so hot! Tasha got the prettiest pictures outside the temple of the bride, the groom, and all of their friends and family.
Their perfect wedding reception was held on July 9th at Cactus and Tropicals in Draper, Utah. It’s the ideal venue since the entire place is just gorgeous without any extra decorations. One of our favorite details from their reception (other than the delicious variety of food) was that they had bridesmaids at the entrance to take polaroid photos of the guests. Cutest idea for a sign-in book! We also loved their ice cream sundae bar! Such a perfect way to highlight a special part of their beautiful love story. Congrats to the Woodards!
