I'm Tasha - your wedding photographer

I’m so excited for today’s blog post! I’ve been dying to share the photos from this wedding day inspiration shoot that my team and I put together a couple of weeks ago. Grab a snack before you start because this is going to be a long one! We had way too much fun putting this together and getting to work with all of our incredible vendors!

One of my team members has a father-in-law who keeps bees as a hobby. He gives out little jars of fresh honey as gifts every year to friends and family, which became the inspiration for our honeycomb theme. I wanted this shoot to feel like a real wedding day with a bride and groom, a cake, flowers, table settings, invitations, bridesmaids and groomsmen, decorations… the works. Every detail we chose for this day needed to be something I would choose for my own wedding. My hope is to inspire my brides to really think through their wedding details and choose things they love. I am absolutely thrilled with how it all came together!

We were so lucky to work with the most amazing group of collaborators for this shoot! I cannot say enough wonderful things about everything single one of them! They really brought our collective vision to life with their talent and artistic gifts. The best part was the relationships we all formed. Many of the vendors were at the venue with us for most of the day, moving tables and helping set up the space. We all had such a great time laughing and eating cake! Mandy of Mandy’s Custom Cakes brought a peanut butter chocolate-swirled confection that was heavenly! Because we all know that the best reason to attend a wedding is for the cake.

I’ve got to gush for a second about the gown from Elizabeth Cooper Design. It might be the most stunning wedding dress I have ever photographed! When Celeste came out of the dressing room in all of her bridal beauty, everyone’s jaw hit the floor! I can’t imagine a more gorgeous bride. She and Sterling were just adorable together! They were the perfect couple for our day. You may recognize some former Tasha Rose brides and grooms in the wedding party. Bekah & David and McKenzee & Matt were so gracious to volunteer to be in front of my camera again for the day as well as Sophia’s husband, Jake. The lovely Janae and Sarah were so wonderful to fill-in as a bridesmaids at the last minute when winter sickness stuck some of our models, and we also loved having our resident male model, Aaron.

Because of the size of our wedding party, we had three super talented hair and makeup artists with us to glam up the ladies throughout the morning. Elyssa Anderson, Sarah Hicken and Morgan Kmetzsch absolutely killed it! I think all of the ladies had way more fun than should be allowed. We could hear laughter coming from the bride’s suite all morning.

The florals for this shoot absolutely blew me away! Hannah of Floral & Fauna Design Co. was a flower goddess! She worked her magic all morning, and everywhere we looked it just kept getting better and better! Kathy of Utah DIY Wedding brought us a huge selection of decorations from her warehouse. She built the amazing hexagon wall and even constructed the stand for the cake just days before our shoot! Kari of Kari Dawn Avenue created a honeycomb-shaped invitation suite for us that was so charming! I also loved the tags she made for the honey jar favors and the acrylic honeycomb place cards. Of course, I also have to mention our incredible venue, Shade Home and Garden. They were absolutely wonderful to work with and could not have been more gracious and accommodating! They exemplify how a wedding venue (and they’re a store!) should treat its customers.

I want to thank all of our vendors again from the bottom of my heart for all of their hard work and talent! This day turned out better than I could have hoped for, and it was all thanks to them. Now, sit back and enjoy all of the pretty!
