The “backyard” wedding that I have to share with you today was so gorgeous that I had a hard time believing this was actually someone’s house! This couple is was so unbelievably sweet and welcoming! Kenzie & Tyler met shortly after they both returned from serving missions for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints. She served in Ecuador and he in Mexico. Kenzie happened to be Tyler’s very first date after his mission. They both speak Spanish fluently and sometimes have whole conversations with each other in Spanish.
Their reception was meant to be held in Kenzie’s stunning backyard. However, Mother Nature decided otherwise. The festivities were moved inside her family’s home which happened to be conveniently laid out to host a wedding reception. It was truly impressive! Not many people could pull off hosting so many people in their house at the last minute. They converted their enormous garage, the sunroom and another big, open room into a beautiful venue using 150 yards of fabric!
Kenzie & Tyler were married the following day at the beautiful Bountiful Temple. The weather was lovely, despite the rainstorms of the day before. Their wedding luncheon was held at the Grand Ballroom in Bountiful. Cafe Rio catered the event (always an awesome choice!). The dancing was my favorite part. Kenzie shared the sweetest dance with her dad while Tyler danced with his mother. The grand send-of was something I haven’t seen before. Their friends and family sent the couple off with bells!
Congratulations, Kenzie & Tyler! I absolutely loved being a part of your day. I hope you enjoyed your honeymoon cruise!
