I'm Tasha - your wedding photographer

Today I’m turning the blog over to my summer associate, Brittany! She will be photographing weddings during the summer months and is also a member of my team who works behind the scenes. Take it away, Brittany!

I’m so excited to be sharing my first engagement session as a Tasha Rose associate! I’ve worked with Tasha for a long time behind the scenes, but it was so fun for me to be able to meet and interact with this adorable couple in person.

Yaleve & Jared met at church. They both attended their local Spanish branch. Yaleve and her family are originally from Puerto Rico. Jared plays the organ in their ward, which is just about the coolest thing ever! They got engaged at Temple Square surrounded by twinkling Christmas lights. Jared had a special spot set up for the two of them and had planned to time his proposal to the exact moment the lights around the Salt Lake Temple turned on that evening. As he waited anxiously for her to arrive, he panicked when it started to rain. Luckily, it stopped just in time for him to pop the question while her dad recorded the whole thing from the bushes nearby!

I loved watching Yaleve & Jared interact during their engagement session. They are the sweetest couple! They call each other “sunshine” and were clearly so happy to be together and getting ready for their wedding. We photographed their engagements at the Utah State Capitol Building. It was crazy windy, but getting blown around just made them laugh and hold each other closer.

If you’ve never been to Salt Lake City to see the Capitol building in person, I highly recommend it! The architecture is really magnificent. We basically had the place to ourselves. It will definitely be a little crazy in a few weeks when the cherry blossoms start to bloom though!

Thanks for such a fun evening, Yaleve & Jared! I loved meeting the two of you, and I can’t wait for your June wedding!
