I'm Tasha - your wedding photographer

Out of all the beautiful photo locations in Utah, Tibble Fork Reservoir in American Fork Canyon is one of our absolute favorites! Since it’s such a perfect spot for engagements, bridals, and family photos, it’s one of Utah’s most popular photo locations! Keep scrolling to see yet another gorgeous summer engagement photo session at Tibble Fork.

Michael and Carly (soon to be Mr. and Mrs. Selander) went to high school together, but were what Carly calls “hallway friends”. In the next couple of years, they ran into each other a lot as BYU students but didn’t really connect until after they both served LDS missions. In 2019, Carly’s friend was dating his roommate, and when Carly asked that friend for a ride to the airport, Michael decided to come along for the ride. Carly and Michael hit it off immediately and dated for 5 months before deciding to break up. But after a grueling year and a half, they found their way back to each other and both agree they can’t live without each other. Michael proposed on a little bench nestled on a hiking trail during a daytrip to Seattle. So romantic!

Here’s what Carly had to say about their relationship. “Something I love about us is that we laugh a lot. We’re really similar to each other! We’re able to have serious conversations, and there isn’t anything I don’t feel comfortable talking about with him. We really love to play tennis, pickleball, and love to make dinner together. We love making plans to go on trips and we love going on trips together! I think what I love the most about us is that we really do love each other. I always wondered if getting back together would be awkward or weird, but there hasn’t been any of that. It all feels so natural and good and right.”

Tasha loved photographing this beautiful engagement photo session at Tibble Fork Reservoir which perfectly captured how Michael and Carly feel about each other! August 13th is their wedding date and we are so excited for these two to finally get to start their life together.
