I met the lovely Beka in class at nursing school. We both currently attend together. I heard she was dating someone seriously, and the next thing I knew she was talking to me about wedding photography! I was so happy and surprised! When you know, you know.
Beka & David met through the LDS dating app “Mutual.” David was only a short time away from leaving for Washington D.C. to spend the summer working there. He didn’t want to risk letting Beka go so he proposed during an adventurous skydiving date when she came to visit him! As soon as he landed safely on the ground, he got down on one knee and asked Beka to be his wife. Isn’t that the most incredible proposal story??
We drove up to Bloods Lake at the top of Big Cottonwood Canyon for Beka & David’s engagement session. The lake must get its name from the insane amount of mosquitos! Swarms of bugs surrounded us during this session, but nothing was going to stop us from getting the picture perfect background. After we had all the bites we could stand, we went a little higher up the canyon for an amazing view of Park City. Despite all of the itching, our time together was full of jokes and a whole lot of laughter.
It’s always fun for me to photograph friends and to experience their love stories. It brought me so much joy to see the happiness that David brings out in Beka and how perfect they are for one another. They are getting married tomorrow at the Provo City Center Temple, and I absolutely can’t wait to capture the day for them!
