I'm Tasha - your wedding photographer

Shayla & Matt met while attending school in Rexburg, Idaho. Shayla was Matt’s very first date after returning home from serving an LDS mission. They had a fun time together but he hadn’t really had a chance to adjust yet and was still a bit socially awkward. A few months went by and they became close friends. When Shayla left to serve her own mission, they exchanged letters as friends for over a year. When she returned, her very first date was with Matt! He embraced her returned missionary awkwardness and they became official a few months later.

I could hardly wait to photograph this wedding! I knew it would be a day to remember. Shayla & Matt are both the youngest children in very large families. Their wedding day was bursting at the seams with family members and abounding with love! The couple was sealed at the Ogden LDS Temple, and the temple grounds were entirely filled with Farnsworth and Meek loved ones there to celebrate with Shayla & Matt! Just before that, the bride and groom enjoyed a “small” luncheon at the Copper Nickel with just close friends and immediate family with a guest list totaling over 200 people! Matt’s father welcomed Shayla into the family with a Dr. Seuss “Thing 16” t-shirt.

Their reception was held at the old Ogden Train Station. The space was decorated so beautifully! I nearly cried when I walked into the venue and saw the most beautiful prints from Shayla and Matt’s bridal session on display and all of their guests gushing over the gorgeous couple. Adorable nieces and nephews in matching outfits filled the dance floor and competed with Matt’s groomsmen for the best dance moves. The wedding cake was by far my favorite– a layered macaron masterpiece with different shades of blue macarons handmade by the bride’s uncle and cousin. It was the most beautiful April day and I feel so honored to have been there to capture every moment for this wonderful couple!

Congratulations, Shayla & Matt! I couldn’t be more excited for you! I hope you are enjoying your beautiful, new life together!
