I first met Emily at the ripe old age of sixteen when we were both at EFY for the summer. We stayed Facebook friends and she found me when I congratulated her on her engagement. Emily & Gabe met when he moved into her ward. They’ve been together for four years, which is forever in Utah time! They both served missions and their relationship stayed strong throughout all of that separation. Gabe proposed in front of the beautiful Provo City Center Temple last January.
We photographed the couple’s bridal session up at Jordan Pines in Big Cottonwood Canyon. I always love to be up in the mountains in the summer! It was beautiful. We even got to see a moose. Emily brought one of her bridesmaids along, and she was so helpful! She definitely needs to win some kind of bridesmaid-of-the-year award.
Emily & Gabe were married on a pretty day at the Payson Temple. Gabe has lots of siblings so the couple was surrounded by so many people who cared about them. I especially loved the flower crowns created for the bridesmaids and the wands for the flower girls. I’m convinced there’s no quicker way to charm a little girl at a wedding than with a fairy wand.
Congratulations, Emily & Gabe! Thank you for asking me to be a part of your day. I wish the two of you so much happiness in your life together!
