I got to take a 450-mile road trip for this gorgeous wedding. Annie and Ashton got married in the Idaho Falls Temple on a warmer day in February. Idaho Falls temple is one of my favorites! What makes this wedding so unique is that they were married on LEAP DAY! I guess they only have to worry about Anniversary gifts every four years (advice to Ashton, don’t do this even if she says it’s okay). Their colors were gorgeous, dusty blue and burgundy, the matching blue plaid suit coats on the groomsmen looked incredibly sharp.
We took their bridals at the Utah State Capitol Building, this location has such a classy feel. Annie had the MOST gorgeous custom designed wedding dress from Elizabeth Cooper (one of my favorite bridal stores). It had the most elegant lace down the arms and a beautiful long train. Annie requested a picture with the sun peeking through the bride and groom and we were able to nail it.
Talk about such a cozy and inviting reception, it was the perfect escape from the cold night. Their reception took place at the Barn on first and it was beautiful! It was super inviting and the perfect place for everyone to enjoy each other’s company. Let’s talk about the treats; Churros, Eclairs and Cookies, Oh My (don’t worry mom, I had a little fruit as well)! The treats were so colorful and delicious. Annie and Ashton both have big families and they know how to dance; everyone was out on the dance floor showing off their moves. They left in a line of sparklers and their car had been completely covered in sticky notes. It took Ashton five minutes just to clear a path on the windshield so they could leave. I love road trips, especially when they entail being a part of amazing weddings like this one.
Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Wride!
