I'm Tasha - your wedding photographer

I’ve heard that summers in Texas are HOT, but I got to experience it for myself this summer. Everything everyone says about the heat is true! Luckily, I got to spend the weekend with the most wonderful couple and their families. So I didn’t even mind.

Katherine & Scott met at Brigham Young University- Idaho at a party thrown by a mutual friend. A few months later, Scott commented on a photo Katherine posted on social media saying, “Hey, we should do something sometime.” Their first date followed shortly thereafter followed by lots and lots of other dates. Scott proposed on the beach at sunset in the Marshall Islands. I’d like to think he said something along the lines of, “Hey, we should get married sometime.”

The two of them were married at the Houston LDS Temple. It was a beautiful day, but it was HOT! Katherine & Scott’s sealing was the only one scheduled for that day which is very rare. Both of them have the best, sweetest, most helpful friends! Katherine had the world’s best bridesmaids! I will hire them someday to help with my own wedding. I also got to stay with Scott’s family while I was in town. They were so kind and made me feel like a member of the family. I can’t thank them enough.

Katherine & Scott’s reception took place that evening at the beautiful Willow Fork Country Club. The bride wore her mother’s wedding ring on her right hand as her something old and something borrowed. I thought that was a sweet way to honor her and the tradition. I’ve rarely seen so many happy tears during dancing. There was not a dry eye in the room when the groom and his mom shared a special dance together. My favorite moment of the entire day though was right before the grand send-off. All of the guests went outside to get the sparklers ready, and the couple spent a few minutes by themselves to share the last dance of the night. It was the sweetest moment that I know they will hold dear for years to come!

Congratulations, Katherine & Scott! Thank you and both of your families for making me feel so welcome! I know the two of you are going to have a wonderful marriage.
