Outdoor engagement session at the Garden Park Ward in Salt Lake City. It was the perfect morning with gorgeous sunlight.
Meet Carolyn and Andrew (aka Rocky), such a sweet and endearing couple. Andrew was born the same year the movie Rocky came out and that’s what Carolyn called him. These two were such troopers and met me bright and early for a sunrise session. We took these photos at the Garden Park Ward in Salt Lake. This is where Rocky went to church as a kid. It was special that we could do it at a location that was close to his heart. They were such an easy-going couple; we even got some blooper moments. We joked around that instead of this being a “shotgun” wedding it was a “tree branch” wedding (see pics).
These two met last year at a Halloween dance. Rocky asked Carolyn out on a date, even though she had full on face paint and a costume. The first time he saw her was on their first date. They’ve been dating ever since. I thought it was neat that almost a year after they met, we were taking their engagement pictures. Rocky proposed to Carolyn on a bridge in a beautiful park that he visited as a child. I’m SO excited for their wedding. This engagement session at Garden Park and this couple were both amazing. They’re getting married on black Friday and Carolyn will be incorporating her Chinese heritage. They enjoy working out together, skiing, playing pickleball, and friend game nights.
“I love how our strengths and differences complement and complete each other. We take turns making each other laugh, listen to each other as we work through different challenges in life, and find fun and challenging goals to work towards together.” – Carolyn
