This engagement session was MAGICAL! Kaylyn and Dylan flew me out to Santa Barbara, where it was a whopping 85 degrees (meanwhile Utah was having one heck of a blizzard). This engagement session was the best adventure with these two. It all started at the beach with a beautiful sunrise, we even saw dolphins swimming in the ocean. After that, we headed to the Santa Barbara courthouse and it was beautiful! Dylan was just as excited for pictures as Kaylyn and I were. We ended this engagement session at Ellwood Bluffs, with the most magical sunset I think I’ve ever seen (and I’ve seen a lot of sunsets).
I’ll quit daydreaming now about this dreamy shoot and introduce this adorable couple. Kaylyn and Dylan met at FHE (family home evening) through church, right after she moved to California. After seeing each other a few times in group settings; Kaylyn got the guts to ask him out and they met up to watch the sunset on the beach and eat tacos, TACO about every girl’s “dream” first date. They ended up staying late talking until 2 in the morning. Dylan was a total gentleman and Kaylyn was smitten.
Dylan proposed at the Draper Temple on a snowy morning, the day after Christmas! They were headed there to do sealings and he proposed right before they entered, it was perfect. These two love to laugh, spend time together and catch up with each other at the end of each day. Kaylyn described Dylan as “incredibly laid back, funny and kind. I love all those things about him!”
Congrats to the future Wright’s, I’m counting down the days until I get to capture your special day!
