Since we just recently celebrated Valentine’s Day, I thought it would be fun to share the story of a couple who got engaged last year on Valentine’s Day! Jasmine thought she and Blake were going to the Olive Garden that night for a romantic evening. Instead, he surprised her with her favorite donuts, a ring, and a new fiancé!
Jasmine & Blake were married on a beautiful, hot day in July at the Provo City Center Temple. Jasmine was SUCH a stunning bride! Everything about this wedding was so pretty. The reception that evening was held at Highland Gardens in American Fork. This is one of my very favorite venues! It’s a greenhouse venue that is so gorgeous inside with the best light! I could photograph weddings here every day and live happily ever after. The couple had a delicious ice cream bar to beat the summer heat from one of my favorite local ice cream parlors: Leatherby’s.
I have to talk for just a minute about Jasmine & Blake’s cake baker because her story is so amazing! Their incredible wedding cake was created by Addie Branham of Miss Addie’s Cakes who is… wait for it… 12 years old! Really! Her father was serving in Afghanistan, and as part of his deployment, his kids got a small grant from the military. She used the money to enroll in a cake-baking course and her talent just took off from there! Isn’t that a cool story?
Jasmine & Blake, thank you for the honor of being a part of your special day! I hope your first few months of marriage have been wonderful!
