The Utah State Capitol Building in the spring is not to be missed once the cherry blossoms are in bloom! They were so gorgeous this year! I got the chance to photograph Sierra & Ben’s engagement session there right during peak bloom. We were really lucky because the blossoms only last a couple of weeks at the most.

The weather was awful all of last week and the forecast was calling for snow during our scheduled time. Somehow, it ended up being a beautiful evening. Sierra & Ben were so adorable together! It was so easy to get them to laugh and smile. It was clear that they adore each other. After the capitol, we headed to Tunnel Springs Park. Ben’s sister had her engagement photos taken in the same place, so he was really excited to share the same location.

Sierra & Ben met while attending BYU. The couple will be taking over the lease of the apartment my associate, Sophia, and her husband are currently living in while they spend the summer in Washington D.C. Sierra saw Sophia’s wedding photos hanging on the wall when she and Ben came for a tour and wanted to know who took them. Now I will be taking Sierra’s own wedding photos in just a few short weeks!

Congratulations, Sierra & Ben! I loved spending such a pretty evening with you. My roommates and I will be taking a roadtrip to Idaho for your wedding day, and I can’t wait!
