If you’re looking for a dreamy backdrop of mountains and water, Tibble Fork Reservoir is the ideal place to shoot engagements, bridals, or family portraits. It’s one of our very favorite spots in all of Utah, and one of our most-requested photo locations. So when Kinsie (now Mrs. Myers) said she was hoping for beautiful bridal pictures somewhere up American Fork Canyon, Tasha’s associate photographer, Kaylea, knew Tibble Fork Reservoir was the place for them.
Time for you to meet Kinsie and Payton Myers! Their story started on Mutual—yes, another inspiring (and unexpected) dating app experience that actually worked out. The events were really quite miraculous, since Kinsie had muted her Mutual account. But, when a friend needed help, Kinsie reactive her account for a total of 3 HOURS. And…you guessed it, in that short timespan, Payton found her on Mutual! They went on one date, and Payton knew immediately that he could not let this girl go. So, he asked her on another one. Kinsie and Payton have spend almost every single day together since that second date.
Last August, Payton asked Kinsie to marry him with a stunning set up in the mountains. We’re talking “Marry Me” in bright lights, surround by pictures of the memories they had made together. Absolutely dreamy! The week before their wedding, they went with their families to Mexico to do volunteer work. In January, Payton and Kinsie were sealed in the Mount Timpanogos Temple.
There are so many details from their wedding day that we LOVE!! And Kaylea did an incredible job of capturing all of them so that Payton and Kinsie can remember everything about their special day for the rest of their lives. Kaylea loved taking pictures of their families together. Payton’s brother is currently on a mission, so he attended the festivities as a cardboard cutout. But Kinsie’s siblings were all there and loved being in front of the camera! Her little brothers were particularly excited to be in pictures with their new brother. And are you as obsessed as we are with Kinsie’s GORGEOUS bouquet? Family friends made it for her and the flowers were so heavy that for pictures, Kinsie could only lift the bouquet for very short amounts of time.
Their reception was full of laughter and dancing! Kinsie’s bridesmaids had the idea to toss Payton in the air, and when that didn’t go very well, the groomsmen turned it into a competition. They threw Payton so high that he hit his head on the ceiling! Of all the memorable moments that Kaylea captured, her favorite was Kinsie and Payton’s first dance together as Mr. and Mrs. Myers. She said, “They always seemed so relaxed together, but their energy during the first dance was electric. You could tell they didn’t notice anything else happening in the room. Their eyes were only on each other.” The bride and groom exited amid sparklers! The perfect way to celebrate the start of their lives together.
