We love snowy bridal sessions! And these pictures taken at a Box Elder Campground in Mantua, Utah turned out so beautifully. Never thought of taking photos at a campground in Utah? Well, this photoshoot will have you thinking again.
Heather and Markus Johns booked our associate, Amelia, for every one of their wedding photo sessions: engagements, bridals, and wedding day! Read their love story (straight from a music video) and see their engagement photos in this blog post. On the day of their bridal shoot, the couple drove in separate cars to Box Elder Campground in Mantua, Utah. And this made their first look extra special! Heather wore leggings and warm boots under her dress for most of the pictures. That’s something we totally recommend doing! Get more winter photo session tips here.
Actually, the morning of their bridals, Heather realized they didn’t have a bouquet and boutonnière for the session. She rushed to Hobby Lobby with her roommates, grabbed all the flowers they could find in her wedding colors, and threw together the bouquet and boutonnière. Thankfully, one of her roommates did the flowers for their wedding day.
The couple got married at the cutest Bed & Breakfast, Old Rock Church, in Providence, Utah. This beautiful, vintage building has tons of windows and lots of light. Their officiant was Markus’ roommate and he shared some fun memories about Heather and Markus’ relationship! Including, how many Pixar movies the couple watched together as they were dating, starting with Monsters’ Inc. But Amelia’s favorite moment of the day was actually when Heather gave her dad a first look of her wedding dress. Talk about a tear jerker! Amelia loved captured everything about this special day!
