I was lucky enough to be able to photograph the world’s most adorable couple at the beautiful Thanksgiving Point! This stunning location has been on my goal list for a while now, and it did not disappoint! It was absolutely unreal! The best part though was definitely Kaleigh & Scott.
The two of them met in high school. Scott was dating one of her friends at the time, but he always found himself falling into easy conversation with Kaleigh. He asked her out, and they dated a little bit until they graduated and Scott joined the military. He was deployed to basic training for fifteen months. These two really had to have a strong foundation built and get to know each other really well for their relationship to withstand so much time apart. Scott came home for a visit around Christmas and he and Kaleigh spent every day together. She met his entire family in one weekend. It was then that they decided that this was real and they were very serious about each other.
Scott popped the question under twinkling lights at Draper Park. It was here that he first told Kaleigh that he loved her. He planned an entire day of dates for her culminating in a sweet proposal he had set up complete with photos of the two of them throughout their relationship. Afterward, they enjoyed a romantic dinner and then visited their families to share the happy news. I absolutely love this story!
The evening we photographed Kaleigh & Scott’s engagement session happened to be at the end of a very stressful day for me. However, once I met these two, their joy and love for one another was so contagious that I completely forgot about everything I was worrying about. It is abundantly clear that they are so happy and in love! It’s inspiring to see.
Congratulations, Kaleigh & Scott! You two are a wonderful example of true love. I can’t wait for your wedding next month!
