Meet Baylee and Taylor aka Bay and Tay, the sweetest and outgoing couple! They have the greatest proposal story I’ll get to later in the post. This engagement session took place at the Jordan Pines campground. Baylee and Taylor met at BYU in their singles ward and ended up in the same family home evening group. What started out as friendship, gradually turned into a beautiful love story. Baylee originally had a crush on Taylor’s roommate, and Taylor held hands with Baylee’s roommate… Oops! After meeting Taylor’s family, Baylee made a joke that she’d marry him just for his family. They’ve been dating for six months and their big day is coming up on May 15th, which is EXACTLY three months after Taylor proposed.
Baylee is from North Carolina and Taylor is from sunny St. George. They’re both currently living in Provo and attending BYU. They love to have fun together and be silly. Something they enjoy together is hanging out with friends and having game nights. As a couple they want to be more adventurous and outdoorsy, so they’ve started hiking more.
Baylee knew that Taylor had ordered her engagement ring (which they designed themselves, and it’s gorgeous). She made it very clear to Taylor that she did NOT want to be proposed to on valentine’s day. So, Taylor spent Valentine’s day hiking Bridal Veil Falls, where they had gone on a date before, scoping out the perfect spot to propose.
The next day on February 15th, Taylor and Baylee hiked all the way to the top of Bridal Veil Falls and looped back around. Taylor asked Baylee if she would go on a little adventure with him and she wasn’t feeling up for it. After some convincing, they headed to the proposal spot. Taylor started to realize you could see “Marry Me?” written in the snow from the trail. He didn’t want Baylee to see it until they got up there, so he attempted to blindfold her, but she kept resisting. So halfway blindfolded, he picked her up against her will to carry her and they both ended up falling to the ground in the snow. It’s one of the best proposals I’ve heard! Of course, we had to reenact it at our shoot.
