Kaleigh & Scott’s wedding at Highland Gardens in American Fork was classic and timeless with shades of dusty blue and gold accents. It was such a pretty wedding, and I always love the chance to shoot at this gorgeous greenhouse venue!
Kaleigh & Scott met way back in high school but didn’t start dating until he was in the military and she was back home working. They started out by just catching up, and then they were talking every day during every free minute they had. The two of them were so excited to be together and to start the next chapter of their lives once they were married!
The day started out with photos of the bride and groom getting ready including a “First Look” with Kaleigh’s dad and all of her bridesmaids. I loved seeing their happiness and excitement. Kaleigh definitely was a stunning bride! The sweetest ceremony followed in the gardens surrounded by family and friends. The love in the room was inspiring.
During portrait time, Kaleigh & Scott were so sweet together! I barely had to direct them because all they wanted to do was be near each other. It was a very rainy day, but the rain stopped just in time for us to take some outdoor photos and explore the greenhouse. We got really lucky!
The reception, also at Highland Gardens that evening, turned into a huge dance party! Their guests were having a great time! The most memorable moment was the groom’s dance with his mother. They danced to the song “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun” which obviously held special meaning between the two of them. His mom had tears of happiness in her eyes and there wasn’t a dry eye in the room. All of the well-wishers sent the bride and groom off under a shower of rose petals which was really beautiful. Then they headed straight for the airport to leave on their honeymoon that night!
Congratulations, Kaleigh & Scott! I’ve been really looking forward to your wedding day, and it was just awesome! Thank you for asking me to be a part of it.
