Beautiful intimate backyard wedding in Salem Utah. Gorgeous mountain backdrop with lots of dancing, partying and yummy cake.
Meet the Hill’s, Josh and Samantha. Props to these two for changing their original wedding plans due to the coronavirus. Their original plan was to get married at the Jordan River temple with a reception following at Thanksgiving Point. Corona virus came in like a wrecking ball once again and rained on their parade. They were still able to be sealed in the Jordan River temple, with both of their immediate families attending. They held a small intimate backyard ring ceremony and reception at a relatives house in Salem, Utah. It was BEAUTIFUL! The backyard was up against the mountains and gave a serene view.
Samantha’s wedding gown was a beautiful sparkly tulle ball gown lace bodice that looked absolutely stunning on her. All of their nieces and nephews were adorable dressed in matching outfits. One of Samantha’s nieces asked her mom if I was princess Ariel (she’ll forever be my favorite). Samantha’s siblings put together the coolest little performance. They would say phrases pertaining to them (as a family) and then sing a correlated song. For example, they talked about how they would always be there for each other; then sang we’re all in this together (High School Musical). These two know how to dance and during the dance party it started to rain. Samantha actually prayed for clouds that day. I guess the sky gods were feeling a little extra generous. They had the cutest cake that turned into an epic cake smash.
Samantha’s dad set these two up and they were both pretty skeptical at first. However, after the second date, they knew they were each other’s forever. They had each other’s backs through the ups and downs and fell in love along the way. This wedding sparkled, just like the two of them! I’m so happy for Samantha and Josh! Thank you for letting me be a part of your special day.
