Autumn Bountiful temple wedding and backyard reception. This wedding was all the autumn fairytale vibes and the most thoughtful couple ever!
Mack and Sarah Nelson were married on October 9th in the Bountiful temple. They held their luncheon at the Weber Water Conservatory and it was BEAUTIFUL! Kneaders catered sandwiches and salads. Their reception was in Mack’s parents backyard and I think it was the best backyard I’ve ever seen. It overlooked the mountains and they had a fall theme set up. It had the cutest fairytale autumn vibe. There was apple cider and the BEST cupcakes from Cravings Alisha’s Cupcakes (they are my absolute favorite). They had the prettiest raspberry wedding cheesecake. Their wedding colors were terracotta, dark reds, gold, and light pinks. It was super romantic and fit the autumn season perfectly.
Mack and Sarah met last year at church. Mack came into Sarah’s life out of nowhere and it just felt like it was meant to be. Their first date was at the Habit Grill in Farmington Station. Sarah is from Idaho and never wanted to live in Utah, but found herself in Layton after graduate school. These two meeting was divine intervention and the timing was perfect. “Mack fearlessly chases his dreams and encourages me to pursue my own and I am so grateful to have him as a partner.” – Sarah Nelson
They have the sweetest proposal story. Mack proposed on the 4th of July, one of Sarah’s favorite holidays. Her extended family has a big barbecue in Idaho every year, it’s a big family tradition. Mack had to work and couldn’t make it, so Sarah went by herself. Mack showed up in her parents backyard in the middle of their barbecue and proposed right there in front of her entire family. He had secretly gotten work off and planned the whole surprise! These two like spending time with family, The Big Bang Theory, Sweeto Burrito, listening to AC/DC and movie soundtracks, Cupbop and dinosaur museums.
Mack and Sarah are literally one of the nicest couples I’ve ever met! They venmoed me on their wedding day for lunch, because they didn’t have gluten free options. AND they got me my very own gluten free cupcake at their reception. Even on their own wedding day, they were thinking of me, it was the sweetest gesture ever! I truly enjoyed every moment with these two. Congratulations to Mr. & Mrs. Nelson!
