Emma and Elijah Wood were so much fun to photograph! They both served missions in Berlin, Germany but didn’t officially meet until afterwards. By that point, they were studying at BYU and got set up by mutual mission friends. When it came to the proposal, Elijah asked the question at Mirror Lake while they were camping with some friends! Elijah and Emma had just gone ring shopping, so Emma knew the ring wouldn’t be ready for about 3 weeks. She was so surprised! And loved wearing a $15 ring until she got the real one. When we asked what their favorite things to do together are, Emma said, “Basically everything, but especially planned events or trips. We love concerts and camping and seeing more of the world. Being together just makes it so much more special.”
For these Utah fall engagement photos, Tasha took these two up to Silver Lake in Big Cottonwood Canyon and the Church of Dirt at Empire Pass. They’re both on our list of favorite fall photo locations! She made sure to capture all of the vibrant fall colors! One of Tasha’s favorite things about this photoshoot was that Elijah had some very great photo requests. We love the both the album cover photo and the engagement ring shot with him dabbing in the background that he suggested. He made the photoshoot extra entertaining! Everything about this session was so carefree and fun.
The Woods are getting married in Carlsbad, California! And Tasha is so excited, partly because it gives she and her roommate an excuse to take a trip to San Diego and Disneyland just before Christmas. We can’t wait to see all of the pictures from the Woods’ upcoming wedding day!
